Damn Headlines
There I was sitting at work, doing work (I actually had something to do) and then an email showed up. It was the daily news email from the Dallas Morning News.
There it was, on the front page.
Some of you might have noticed me complaining that I have never seen enough snow to make a snow angel or a snow man. That I've never gotten to play in snow.
But, as we learned last week... it isn't going to actually snow here in Dallas, its just gonna drop freezing rain and sleet all over the place and make it nearly impossible to drive on. These idiot big-haired, shiney-shoed Dallas-ites cant drive when its 80degrees and sunshining.. they sure as heck cant drive on Black Ice.
Anyway... If you have been paying any attention at all to my recent posts, or even the little countdown in the side bar... you would notice one little bitty detail Mother Nature forgot about...
I'm Freaking MOVING This Weekend!
I quickly called my new landlord and asked if I could get the key early and start moving in before the bad weather hits. She told me that the key was in the storage shed for the people who had been doing some foundation work and that she would contact me tomorrow to get the rent and stuff.
I called my next door neighbor and we loaded up my car and his. We got one load unloaded and then went to dinner. While eating Wings, Mother Nature turned into a real wench and let it start raining.
Its supposed to rain the rest of the night. So, I guess there is nothing left to do but blog... and I'm not reading any more headlines tonight.
