Boredom

Friday I came home from work and decided I was going to pack. It was at this time that I was hit straight on the nose with a depressing and boring fact. I can't pack any more. My current abode is so small that the boxes that ARE packed, are stacked up in the way of getting to the rest of the stuff that needs packing. Also, those stacks are nearly to the ceiling and even if I could get to stuff to pack, I wouldn't have any place to put the box after I was done.

This reminds me a lot of the day I moved into da ghetto... You couldn't see over the pile of stuff and you basically needed a pole-vaulting stick to get around the piles.

So what did I do? I went to sleep. And Saturday, I slept. Except for getting up to go sign the lease on my new place and grab something to eat... sleeping was about all I got done.

Yesterday, I was bored so I went and started re-uploading pictures and reformatting the archive posts from February and March. None of my pictures and none of my formatting survived when we converted my blogspot account over to my new domain.

Last night, after my neighbor got home... I went next door to watch a movie since my DVD player has been off in the looneybin for months. I watched Monster-in-Law with JLo and JFo. It was cute, but the character Ruby stole the show.

The Boredom Continues:

At work, I deal with information that is downloaded out of an AS400. The information is supposed to be in there at least 90days ahead of time. January's information was late but I quickly got what I needed and sent out the results to the people waiting on it.

I have been patiently waiting for about two weeks on February information. We were assured that both February and March information would be available to us today. Not to mention the fact that I have already missed my first deadline to turn in February information to a client.

I get to work and I download the information that the AS400 gave me for February. I import it into my automated excel spreadsheets and start formatting and highlighting changes from last month. Then my boss walks in and says... "Well, all the February information in the system is wrong and it didn't upload correctly. Don't do anything with the information until you get an email from me saying it is fixed."

So. Again. I'm back to patiently waiting. Although, I have to say, my patience is quickly running out. I have just about decided that they need to pay me more to be this bored.

I found the picture of the dog on Google and it reminded me of Char Cole. When my parents were still living in Houston, my dad would call before he left work to say he was on his way home. My mother would tell Char Cole that "Daddy's coming home."

That sweet baby would go to the dining room and sit in the window waiting for Daddy to drive up in front of the house. When he laid down, his chin was the exact height as the window sill. It was the cutest thing to see him sitting there resting his chin on the window sill waiting for his daddy.
