Dallas Chefs
What do you get when Blogs Collide?
First there was SillyNessa and Spoonleg, then The Fonz, Dashababy, Kristine, RSG & Pissy, then there came Sherri and Torrie... and now there is The Dallas Chefs

Today I went to a Pampered Chef party hosted by Kami of TheDallasKs fame. She posted on her blog that I was indeed not an axe murderer, and since I made it home, I proved to my mother that neither was Kami. We had a fun time, I spent way too much money, and SOMEONE forgot to pass out the recipe for the cheese and olive bowl! Hint, Hint, Hint!

Was your mom worried? That's too funny!!
Fiesta Cheese Torta
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 T. Pantry Southwestern Seasoning Mix
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup chopped green onions with tops
1/4 cup snipped fresh cilantro
1/2 cup pitted ripe olives, chopped
1 plum tomato, seeded and diced
additional snipped fresh cilantro (optional)
tortilla chips or assorted crackers
1. Line Small Batter Bowl with plastic wrap; set aside. In Classic Batter Bowl,
combine cream cheese, seasoning mix, and garlic; mix well. Add cheddar cheese,
green onions, and cilantro to cream cheese mixture; mix well.
2. For first layer of torta, spoon 1/2 cup of the cream cheese mixture into
bottom of small batter bowl; spread evenly using small spreader. Top with
tomato, pressing lightly. For second layer, spoon 1/2 cup of the cream cheese
mixture over tomato, spreading evenly. Top with olives, pressing lightly. For
third layer, spoon remaining cream cheese mixture over olives, spreading evenly.
Cover; refrigerate at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
3. To unmold torta, invert batter bowl onto a plate. Remove plastic wrap.
Sprinkle with additional snipped cilantro, if desired. Serve with chips or
crackers.

How cool. I've yet to meet anyone in real life, not sure if they'd believe I
wasn't an axe murderer AFTER meeting me. Then they'd post that and my cover
would be blown. I can't risk that. Heh.
Sounds like you all had fun, that's great!
AND now I have a new recipe to try as well. THANKS!
