Six More Weeks

Punxsutawney Phil said today that we have six more weeks of winter headed our way. Somehow I am not surprised.

This is Texas. We are supposed to have two seasons: Summer & February. Our "winter" spell hit early this year... like in early November. Its been quite comfortable ever since. It was in the 60s this morning when I left for work and I don't think we've seen a a night below freezing in 2006 so far. I guess we are due for a little more "winter."

Enough about the weather... on a more personal note, it seems like its been winter for the past oh, I don't know, 8 years maybe. Maybe some of it is because I have a horrible habit of living up to the textbook definition of genius... doing something over and over again expecting a different outcome and then surprised when it ends up the same damn way.

I haven't slept thru the night in nearly a week. I am having a horrible time trying to turn my brain off. I have so many thoughts going thru my head about every subject from the weather to money to school to my health. I don't know what to do and whatever I have been doing hasn't helped or worked. I really need a new outlook.

If I don't get some sleep tonight... tomorrow night I'm going to go buy me some over the counter sleep meds and attempt to sleep all weekend.
