Bridgestone Tires and Split Ears

Today was an interesting day. I got up early and took my car to the Saturn dealership. I had a coupon for a free oil change with an inspection. The oil change was about 3,000 miles overdue and my inspection sticker had run out 5 days ago. I got there and received some bad news, they wouldn't pass my car on the inspection unless I bought 3 new tires. UGH! Like I had the money for that.
CricketYank came and picked me up and we grabbed some breakfast and then spent most of the day apartment hunting. I am desperate to get out of my apartment and my lease is up at the end of December. After a good five hours of touring apartment complexes near my new office, we drove across town to go watch a Rugby game.
Needless to say, I had never seen a Rugby game before, and my friend had actually played Rugby while we were both at Baylor many moons ago. He spent most of the first 40-minute half trying to explain the game to me. One of the players had to quit playing for a while because he was bleeding. It looked like someone had tried to pull his ear off. It spilt right down the back just like Firestone tires do. Oops, that's comforting. While I'm sitting here watching this game, Saturn is putting 4 new Bridgestone-Firestone tires on my car.
It was a very interesting experience and I started understanding what was going on by about the time the game was over. The hardest part was the team that kept scoring was always running to the goal line on the opposite end of the field so I didn't get to see a whole lot.
After the Rugby game, we headed back to Saturn to pick up my car... complete with a new inspection sticker, brand new oil and 4 new big black tires. My car was also clean. That is one thing I can always say about Saturn, when you take your car in for service, they ALWAYS wash your car before they give it back to you. I know that doesn't sound like much, but it is nice to climb in a nice clean car knowing you didn't have to do it.
After a long day, I returned home and acted like a complete and total bum the rest of the evening. I took a nap and woke up with a migraine. This migraine continued on until Monday afternoon. This is the third week in a row that I have had a migraine hit me either Saturday evening or Sunday.
