MRI of the C Spine Technique: Open MRI History: Neck Pain and Migraines
Findings: No abnormal signal intensity is noted in the osseous structures or
spinal cord. The cerebellar tonsils extend 0.8 cm below the foramen Magnum,
compatible with a Chiari one malformation. Due to the high incidence of a syrinx
with this process imaging of the entire spinal cord is recommended.
Straightening of the lordotic curvature is noted in the cervical spine. The disc
appear intact and each level is within normal limits. My chiropractic
neurologist and my neurologist are both out of the office today. I had the MRI
place fax me a copy of the report and now I'm sitting here wondering what all
this means. It looks from the websites I have seen that this is a congential
condition, which means that it has taken 30 years and 51 weeks for someone to
find it. The top two symptoms are headache and neck pain, with a dose of
numbness. HELLO! Why haven't I ever heard of this mentioned before? Well, the
receptionist at the neurologist said that he usually comes in and she will have
him call me. Looks like the next step is a full spinal column scan. FUN!

What does a full spinal column scan involve? I hope this isn't painful. Anything
involving the spine, somehow I picture it being painful.

Sounds like fun. I have a bad HA problem, too, but they haven't found any
trouble in this head of mine! When are you coming to Allen to cook?

Wow, that's all technical and stuff.
